Cookies & Storage
Last updated: 9 July 2026
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser, usually to recognise you between visits — and, on much of the web, to follow you around for advertising. nofeartech.com sets zero cookies. Not "only essential ones" — none at all.
What we do store: a few local preferences
We use your browser's local storage for a handful of small, functional preferences. These never leave your device, aren't sent to us or anyone else, and contain nothing that identifies you:
| Item | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| nft-theme | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. | Until you clear your browser data |
| nfc-consent | Remembers your choice on our consent banner, so we don't ask again. | Until you clear your browser data |
| nft_chat_nudged | Remembers that the live-chat hint has already popped up, so it doesn't nag you. | Until you clear your browser data |
| nft-demo-creds:* | Pre-fills the demo apps' sample login so you don't have to retype it. | Until you clear your browser data |
Our own visit counter (cookie-free)
We count page visits using our own, self-hosted analytics — the same privacy-first approach used by tools like Plausible. Here's exactly how it works:
- When a page loads, your browser tells our own system (app.nofeartech.com) which page was viewed, the site you came from, your country, and whether you're on mobile or desktop.
- No cookies. Nothing is stored on your device. The table above stays complete.
- Your IP address is never stored. To count unique visitors, we derive a one-way code that resets every day — it can't be reversed, and it can't follow you from one day to the next, let alone across other websites.
- If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we don't count you at all.
- The result is aggregate numbers ("42 people visited today, mostly from the UK") — never a profile of you.
Third-party requests
For completeness, loading this site makes requests to:
- app.nofeartech.com — our own system, which receives the visit counts described above and powers the AI enquiry checker, live chat and bookings when you choose to use them. No cookies are set on this site by any of it; what happens to details you submit is covered in our Privacy Policy.
That's the whole list. Our typefaces are self-hosted, so nothing else — no font CDNs, no third-party scripts — is contacted when a page loads.
If that ever changes
If we ever add anything that stores identifiers on your device — third-party analytics, advertising pixels, anything of that kind — it will be off by default and only switched on if you choose "Accept" on our consent banner, which is already built to handle it. This page will list it, honestly, like everything above.
Managing storage
You can clear local storage any time via your browser's settings (usually under "Clear browsing data" → "Site data"), or change your consent choice using the Cookie settings link in the footer of our homepage. The site works fine either way — you'd just lose your theme preference.
